HJAIA LIFE SAFETY UPGRADES

ARCHITECT: Scott Associates Architects Inc. and R.L. Brown & Associates, Inc.
PROJECT DATA: Installation of 779 new lighting fixtures, new egress doors and stairs and the installation of photoluminescent way finding. RFB also provided sprinkler modifications and restored sprayed-on fireproofing. The upgrades were performed in the Main Terminal (both boarding level and apron level), throughout the Automated Guideway System’ as well as Concourses T, A, B and C.

HJAIA NORTH CARGO CANOPY ROOF REPLACEMENT

PROJECT DATA: Design/Build project consisted of the removal and replacement of 35,200 sq. ft. roof(s) on the entire airside and landside canopies of the Airport’s North Cargo Building. The replacement roof was 135 Mil TPO systems. The project also required asbestos abatement.

HJAIA DOA MAINTENANCE BUILDING NO: 04 ROOF REPLACEMENT

PROJECT DATA: Design/Build project consisted of the removal and replacement of 32,000 sq. ft. roof(s) on the entire building. The replacement roof was 135 Mil TPO systems. The project also included the replacement of twelve skylights.

HJAIA DOA FIELD SAFETY & TRAINING BUILDING ROOF REPLACEMENT

PROJECT DATA: Renovations to the USO Lounge located within Atlanta’s domestic terminal. Project included architectural modifications, new finishes, new furnishings, new ceilings and new lighting in the 3,260 sq. ft. space.

HJAIA NORTH CARGO EXTERIOR PRECAST CAULKING

ATLANTA, GEORGIA

CONTRACT VALUE: $1,500,000

ARCHITECT: Department of Aviation
PROJECT DATA: The project scope included removing the existing exterior precast concrete wall caulking and installing new polyurethane sealants and backer-rod between the precast concrete wall panel joints, windows, and doors. This project also required the replacement of the existing building expansion joints with new expansion joints. Asbestos abatement was also required.

HJAIA SOUTH DEICING COMPLEX

PROJECT DATA: This critical project was built on the south side of the airport. The facility provides glycol and fueling delivery, a six-bay truck maintenance area, and a control room. Type I and Type IV glycol, gasoline, diesel, and DEF are stored at the site’s south side and are pumped to dispensers with the capacity to service up to ten trucks within a steel canopy. RFB was the minority JV partner with Manhattan Construction as the Managing Partner.

HJAIA ROADWAY SIGNAGE REPLACEMENT

TO 7 INTERIM MAINTENANCE PARKING DECKS

PROJECT DATA: The existing North and South Parking Decks which serve Hartsfield-Jackson domestic services have certain structural deficiencies and are also approaching the end of their service lives. The Interim Maintenance project for the North and South Decks will provide life extension to permit operation until planned replacement decks are designed and constructed. The project includes repairs to correct structural deficiencies as well as the reinstatement and protection of cast-iron storm drainage piping.

HJAIA ATRIUM RMU REPLACEMENT

PROJECT DATA: RMU Replacement project included replacing aging rooftop air handling units that service the airport. Work included replacing several rooftop air handling units, including changing out and replacing more than fifty Power Induction Units (PIUs) with Variable Air Volume Units (VAVs) within the above-ceiling spaces of existing airport tenants and office spaces. RFB was the minority JV partner with Manhattan Construction as the Managing Partner.

TO 6 DOA AIRSIDE RENOVATIONS

PROJECT DATA: The DOA Operations Project Phase II is for the renovation of the DOA Airside Operations Office located on the Apron level of the ATL Domestic Terminal, which is approximately 6,595 sf and the General Manager Office Upgrades is for the interior upgrades to the Atlanta Department of Aviation General Manager’s existing office, private conference room and small executive conference room located on the Atrium 4th level of the ATL Domestic Terminal.
